Invisalign Can Work for You

Just as It Has for Over a Million Smiles

Will it work for me?

Not only is Invisalign versatile, but it helps correct a broad range of orthodontic and dental issues – and it really does work. Over one million smiles can back up that statement. You will not only benefit from a confident and healthy smile but a large number of dental issues can be corrected with custom-made Invisalign aligners. Below are the types of common issues below that Dr. Roth can work with you in correcting.
Overly crowded teeth: Overly crowded teeth occur when you have more or larger teeth than will fit within your jaw. Left untreated, over-crowded teeth lead to cavities, dental decay and increase the possibility of gum disease.
Widely spaced teeth: Teeth spaced too far apart when teeth are small or there is continued growth of the jaw bone. If you have mssing teeth, gaps in teeth can also be caused by other teeth in your jaw shifting due to extra space. Some periodontal diseases can actually be caused by widely spaced teeth.
Crossbite: Crossbite can occur when the upper and lower jaws are misaligned. When your jaw positions don’t align properly, it may cause more of your upper teeth to bite on the inside or outside of the lower teeth. Crossbite can cause uneven wear of the teeth, loss of bone and gum disease.

Overbite: What dental professional call an “overjet” most people term an overbite. With an overbite, your upper teeth bite over the lower teeth. This type of a bite is usually caused by genetics or may be caused by bad oral habits, or the overdevelopment of the bone that supports your teeth. An overbite can lead to mouth irritation, problems with your gums or painful joint and jaw problems due to wear on the lower teeth.

Underbite: An underbite occurs when your lower teeth protrude further than your upper or front teeth. This situation is most often caused by overgrowth of the lower jaw, undergrowth of the upper jaw, or both. Missing upper teeth can also cause underbite. This problem can prevent the normal function of your front teeth or molars and this again, can lead to tooth wear or uneven wear. An underbite is also known to be the cause of jaw joint problems and a painful jaw.
